Although people have been donating to the communities via La Escuela for years, we began a more organized approach in late 2006, in the hopes of getting water to all the houses in Fátima.  There was so much interest from past students to support community projects that we just kept going.  The community is on a roll now, with lots of plans for its future.

Our barebones approach to organizing this fundraising effort means we are able to use 100% of your donations for the projects and scholarships.   This is great for the communities, but sometimes can be frustrating for you if you are expecting support staff available 24/7.   Don't hesitate to ask us if you have a question - just be patient and know we'll get back to you soon.
